This standard specifies the physical and chemical requirements for a well-milled or cast soda soap, or a mixture of soda and potash soaps, prepared from suitable fats, uniformly mixed, stabilized and thoroughly saponified.
Soap prepared in accordance with this standard is suitable for use in personal bathing and/or general cleaning. For guidance on the choice of soaps or detergents, see CAN/CGSB-2.34.
